We may collect personal data directly provided by the user (e.g., placing an order or sending a message).

Additionally, certain data is automatically collected during website usage, such as through “cookies” and similar technologies. These are activated only after the user provides consent.

For more information, please refer to our Cookie Policy.

We also receive certain data from external partners, such as analytics providers like Google (non-EU partner), advertising networks like Facebook™ (non-EU partner), and payment service providers like PayPal (non-EU partner) and Barion.

4. OUR PRACTICAL STEPS FOR DATA PROTECTION
Travelling Fox Design places great importance on protecting user data and complying with applicable regulations. Therefore, after conducting a data protection impact assessment on the site, we have compiled a list of collected data, their necessity, legal basis, and legal compliance.

To protect data provided through forms and generated on the site, we apply SSL certification across the entire website (Let’s Encrypt Authority X3 certification).
To protect the site against attacks, we use premium security software (iThemes Security Pro) to guard against “brute force” and virus attacks.
In the site's databases, purchase and user data are stored in encrypted form (pseudonymized), making them unreadable to external parties.
Through forms provided in this privacy policy, we enable users to request information about the processing of their personal data, modify, or delete their personal data.
Occasionally, for business operations, it is necessary to provide data to essential service partners (e.g., hosting providers, courier companies, newsletter software).

In such cases, we always select partners who comply with GDPR requirements and, in the case of U.S.-based partners, participate in the EU-US Privacy Shield data protection initiative, and we sign data processing agreements with them to ensure responsible data handling.

5. MARKETING COMMUNICATION
Marketing communication is essential for our business activities. The legal basis for this data processing is the user's interest in our services or their explicit consent.

Under the European Union's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), we send marketing messages to users who have purchased from us or explicitly consented to receive marketing messages.

We always provide a clear option to suspend consent and unsubscribe from messages. Each email contains a link for unsubscribing, or removal from the database can be requested via travellingfoxdesign@gmail.com.

Even after unsubscribing from marketing communication, we may send messages related to order fulfillment.

6. NOTES ON PERSONAL DATA
Occasionally, it is necessary to share certain personal data with specific partners to maintain normal business operations:

- IT service providers and those performing troubleshooting and maintenance on computer systems

- Expert partners such as lawyers, accountants, bankers, insurers

- Government agencies requesting reports on our activities

- Payment service providers handling bank card data securely

- Courier services fulfilling incoming orders to the provided shipping address

International Data Transfers

We may need to share user data with service partners outside the European Economic Area (EEA) to maintain business operations.

Countries outside the EEA often do not provide the same level of data protection; therefore, European laws prohibit data export without meeting appropriate conditions.

Whenever personal data is transferred outside the EEA, in addition to the steps discussed in point 4, we take the following measures to ensure secure data handling:

- Transfer data only to countries deemed adequate by the European Commission for data protection.

- Use only U.S.-based services that are part of the EU-US Privacy Shield data protection initiative.

If the above conditions are not met, we request explicit consent from users for data transfer. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Links to External Sites

This site may contain links to external sites or embedded code snippets that enable the operation of external services.

Clicking on these links or using embedded solutions may allow external partners to collect data about users.

While we strive to thoroughly vet our partners, we have no control over their data protection policies and are not esponsible for their data handling practices.

7. DATA RETENTION PERIOD
We only retain users' data for as long as it is legally/accounting/reporting required, or necessary for the operation of our services.

When determining the retention period, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the data, as well as the potential consequences of a data breach.

For taxation purposes, we are required to keep customers’ billing and purchase information for at least 8 years to comply with our legal obligations.

Under certain circumstances, we may use data in anonymized form for statistical purposes, in which case we may store such data indefinitely without notifying the user.
